    Michelle Holleman

    Michelle Holleman is a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist, Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, Certified Partner Trauma Therapist, and Certified Multiple Addictions Therapist in Gaming & Tech. 

    A trauma specialist trained in EMDR and experiential therapy, she is a Masters-level clinician and is currently pursuing her PhD in Clinical Sexology. 

    Michelle is multiculturally trained, LGBT – affirming, CNM/kink- affirming, and social-justice-informed. Michelle identifies as an eclectic psychotherapist drawing from her training in Internal Family Systems (IFS,) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT,) somatic therapy, and an attachment-based focus.

    Michelle has the distinction of working with Dr. Rob Weiss at Seeking Integrity in Los Angeles, CA, and is an expert on mother-enmeshment and attachment disorders. She is listed as a preferred provider for Dr. Ken Adams. Michelle founded LHC in 2018 after several years working in residential substance use crisis/detox treatment facilities. 

    A nationally- recognized speaker, consultant, and trainer, she will present,“What Am I Missing? How to Spot Sex and Pornography Addiction in Your Clinical Practice,” at the National Association for Addiction Professionals (NAADAC) Convention in Washington, D.C., October 2024.

    Michelle helped develop the Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) program used by first responders interacting in behavioral health situations in North Carolina, and works with Culture Reframed, a non-profit dedicated to education and stopping the harms of pornography on minors. She is honored to currently be part of a team developing a screening test for use by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

    Michelle is an avid scuba diver and is not ashamed to admit she loves watching terrible reality television with her husband, their rescue dogs – a snoring chiweenie and a 2 pound chihuahua, who completely ignore Michelle when her husband is around.
